These terms govern donations made through MillionMe. By donating, you agree to these terms in addition to our Terms of Service.
Understanding Donations
🎁 Donations Are Gifts
All donations are voluntary gifts. You should not expect to receive goods, services, equity, or financial returns in exchange for your donation unless explicitly stated by the Campaign Owner.
What We Don't Guarantee
MillionMe does not guarantee that:
- Campaign Owners will use funds as described
- Campaign goals will be achieved
- Campaigns are legitimate or accurately described
- You will receive updates from Campaign Owners
Your Responsibility
Before donating, we encourage you to:
- Review campaign details carefully
- Research the Campaign Owner
- Ask questions if something is unclear
- Only donate amounts you can afford
How Donations Work
Payment Processing
Donations are processed securely through Stripe. By donating, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the donation amount plus any optional fees you choose to cover.
Your Donor Number
Upon successful donation, you'll receive a unique donor number. This number is assigned sequentially and cannot be changed or transferred.
Tips and Fees
- You may optionally add a tip to support MillionMe's operations
- You may choose to cover payment processing fees so Campaign Owners receive the full donation amount
Refunds
Donations are generally non-refundable.
We may consider refunds in limited cases such as confirmed fraud, unauthorized transactions, or technical errors. See our Refund Policy for details.
Tax Considerations
Donations made through MillionMe are generally NOT tax-deductible unless the Campaign Owner is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and provides appropriate documentation.
Consult a tax professional for advice on your specific situation.
Your Information
Public Display
Your display name (if provided) and donor number may be publicly visible in:
- The campaign's live donation feed
- The referral leaderboard (if you refer others)
- "The Wall" donor visualization
If you prefer anonymity, you may donate without providing a display name.
Campaign Owner Access
Campaign Owners may access your name and email address to:
- Send thank-you messages
- Provide campaign updates
- Fulfill any stated benefits or rewards
Referral Program
You may share your unique referral link to invite others to donate. Referrals are tracked for leaderboard purposes. We may offer additional incentives for successful referrals from time to time.
What's Not Allowed
- Making donations with stolen or unauthorized payment methods
- Attempting to manipulate leaderboards or referral tracking
- Harassing Campaign Owners or other Donors
- Using the Platform for money laundering or other illegal purposes
